Ajinomoto Pot Stickers (Gyoza)
The potsticker is a very popular food in Asia. It was first created in Northern China about 1300 years ago. The Japanese use the term “Gyoza” while the Chinese name is “Chaozu." In Japan Gyoza are pan-fried while in China they are more commonly steamed or boiled. The Chinese celebrate New Year's by eating pot sticker as it is considered a fortune food.

Ajinomoto produces about 800,000,000 pieces of gyoza each year. While there are a number of shapes of gyoza including the stick shape and ball shape, Ajinomoto brand Gyoza are crescent shaped.

Ajinomoto's gyoza are made from select domesticlly grown, high-quality flour and fresh, high-grade meat and vegetables. Ajinomoto's special technology includes a flat bottom to maximize the crispiness and special pleats in the wrapper to prevent damage to the pot sticker from expanding air during cooking.

Because of these innovations the Ajinomoto pot sticker holds in their delicious flavor that is both juicy and crispy at the same time.
