Ajinomoto Frozen Foods Allergy Alert on Undeclared Shrimp and Fish in Vegetable Gyoza Dumplings

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE-Ajinomoto Frozen Foods of Portland, OR is recalling 8.47 oz. trays of Ajinomoto Brand Vegetable Gyoza Dumplings, lot code 231751, that contain undeclared
shrimp and fish (Pollock). People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to shellfish and fish run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this Vegetable Gyoza

The recalled product was distributed between 6/30/2011 and 8/4/2011 through retail stores and restaurants nationwide.
The product recall is for 8.47 oz. trays of Ajinomoto Brand Vegetable Gyoza Dumplings with the lot code 231751 printed on the side of the package.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
The recall was intiated after it was discovered that a box of Seafood Gyoza Dumplings contained mislabeled trays of Vegetable Gyoza Dumplings.
Consumers who have purchased the Ajinomoto Brand Vegetable Gyoza Dumplings with lot code 231751 printed on the side of the package are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Gourmet Chicken Fried Rice. We regret to inform you that there is no longer those 5 items at Wal-Mart. We are currently developing new items with new packaging,
and hopefully we can introduce in near future. Good news is our three items, Chicken & Vegetable Potstickers, Steamed Rice, and Chicken Fried Rice, are available
at Fred Meyer, Ralphs, and WinCo. You can also try our Gourmet Series, Orange Chicken with Fried Rice, Vegetable Chow Mein, Chicken & Vegetable Potstickers, and

In 2006, the Ajinomoto Frozen Foods, USA, Inc., Portland manufacturing facility successfully achieved its ISO 9001:2000 certification (Int'l Organization for Standardization) following an audit by an ISO registration company. In implementing ISO 9001:2000, the company developed an internationally recognized quality management system which focuses on Customer Satisfaction, Regulatory Compliance, Product Safety and Consistent in Quality, and Continual Improvement.
“Sticky Rice” now “Steamed Rice”

Ajinomoto recently changed the name of their “Sticky Rice” to “Steamed Rice.” Many customers, who were fans of the previous sticky rice, should be relieved to know that Ajinomoto still offers the same delicious product, just under a new name. Ajinomoto’s Frozen Steamed Rice can be purchased at Ralph’s, Fred Meyer, Albertson’s and WinCo Foods.
Ralph's Adds New Frozen Food Doors for Asian Products

Now Ralph's customers can find their favorite Ajinomoto Frozen products with ease. Instead of searching all over the frozen food aisle Ralph's shoppers can go directly to a single case that displays all of their Asian Frozen food products. Among those featured are a number of Ajinomoto products.
The new "Asian Frozen Door" is now available at 190 Ralph's locations and will be available at 230 locations by next spring.
